We monitor the impact of our Senior Leadership Development Programme by asking all members to complete a pre-course and post course evaluation form.

Our evaluation forms ask people to assess the impact of their programme through:

– confidence levels against our course learning objectives

– progress against personal, clinical and organisational goals

– participation satisfaction

Members complete the pre-course evaluation on the first morning of their courses, and we ask them to complete the post course evaluation at the end of the three-days.


Leadership is inherently practical therefore it is only by doing and reflecting that we will develop as leaders. The organisation of the time, exercises and information really works and clearly a lot of attention has gone into developing and refining this course.

To date in 2019 Staff College has delivered two-modules of our Senior Leadership Development Programme. The combined evaluation from these modules shows:

• 100% rated the programme as excellent

• 93% said they would definitely recommend the programme to others

• 86% of members felt they had achieved their personal goals or made progress towards them during the course

• 71% of members felt they had achieved their organisational goals or made progress towards them during the course

• 71% of members felt they had achieved their clinical goals or made progress towards them during the course

I have not felt as invigorated or as challenged in a long time. I feel I have been shown important aspects of myself and given tools to improve.
