A big thank you to Brigadier Toby Rowland, Head of the Defence Medical Academy, and all of you who joined us last night for our second Talking Heads: Talking Health of 2021.

Toby reflected on his experience of the military’s approach to developing leaders, and his personal belief that you must take the time to listen and invest in your people.  He spoke about how the NHS can learn from the military’s experience in developing leadership, and apply the lessons in practice to support the delivery of the NHS People Plan, and to develop compassionate leaders.
